Scholarship Program

Thank you to our scholarship donors for creating these opportunities for deserving recipients to attend and experience Humor Camp. Scholarship recipients are selected based on a combination of merit, relevance, creativity and need. Unless otherwise specified, Humor Camp scholarships cover only the recipient’s registration fee. All other expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. Scholarships are valid only for the designated Humor Camp year/session and are not transferable.

Deadline:

All applications for a scholarship to attend Humor Camp 2025 must be received by July 15, 2025. No exceptions. If no suitable entries are received, each donor reserves the right not to award their Humor Camp scholarship for that year/session.

Notification:

Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 1, 2025.

The Dave Family ‘Humor Studies’ Scholarship

Purpose:

Created by the family of Humor Camp co-founder Lenny Dave, this scholarship is intended to help cultivate the next generation of dedicated humor professionals.

Eligibility:

This scholarship is awarded to a college student (undergraduate or graduate level) pursuing Humor and/or Laughter studies with the intention of entering the field, doing meaningful work, and positively impacting the lives of others. Priority is given to applicants attending colleges and universities in the United States. Be sure to include your name, the academic institution you attend (and year), your email address and phone number. This scholarship is for Humor Camp registration only.

Essay:

Applicants are to answer/address (up to 300 words) the following 3 questions:
– How do you plan to apply your Humor/Laughter education in the field after graduation?
– How has Humor/Laughter helped you to navigate through and endure a difficult situation?
– Why do you feel you most deserve this Humor Camp scholarship?

– Bonus Question: What’s the password? (Hint: 1932.)
